sarakatherine: FIVE YEARS AGO ON THIS VERY DAY I started as a little editorial assistant at a children’s publishing company in Midtown, and it’s crazy that I’m still here and currently holding the position of QUEEN EDITOR. (Still checking with management about that title…) Seriously, though. Since January 2007, my life has been Care Bears and Hot Wheels and Sesame Street and Smurfs and Lisa Frank and Fisher-Price and Batman and Hello Kitty and everything Disney Channel and five promotions and mostly fabulous non-asshole co-workers and a 3-block commute and a tremendous amount of creative freedom…  And I feel very, very lucky. Slightly stifled and burnt out (which is normal according this article!), but very, very lucky. wait.. you deal with childrens coloring books?!!!!!!!! OMG. ah-mazing.

Seriously, though.
